For people who suffer from allergies, it can be hard to live without an air purifier.  If there is more than one person who has these allergies in the home then purchasing single unit air purifiers can get quite expensive.  The alternative to this is to use one of the many whole house air purifiers to remove the allergens from the entire home.

Whole house air cleaners keep the entire home free of allergens and pollutants.  This will keep your family healthier than they would be with a single room unit.  This is because you would need to have one in every room of the home that the person with allergies would be in.  This is not always possible.

Some rooms have high ceilings that can trap these types of particles.  A single room air purifier simply does not have the range to get to these areas.  They can help at the levels that are lower, but they will not offer the complete coverage that is given with whole house air filtration.

A whole house air purifier will get to every corner of the home.  It does not matter how high the ceilings are.  Nothing will escape to cause any harm to the loved one with allergies.  With this type of coverage there is no reason to fear having an allergic reaction at home.  This is the whole point of having a purifier in the home.

The single unit air purifiers are also louder than a whole house air purifier.  Each room will receive protection in the same way that the home is heated and cooled.  There will be a base unit and the purification will be run to each room.  The only noise will be the same as the air conditioner and heater make.

This will also save money over a long period of time.  Purchasing one unit that takes care of the entire house is a much better option.  You will have to pay for each single room unit.  In a large room, you may need two of them.  It will be necessary to change the filters often if they are being run continuously.

You will also need to replace these smaller units more often than you would a whole house air purifier.  This is simply because the motors on the smaller units can not last over a ten year period of time.  If it is only being used part time, then they can last a lifetime.  But this is not the case if they are being used continuously every day and in every room.

There are many different sizes of whole house air purifiers to choose from as well.  If your home is small, you would need the same power or coverage that you would need for a five or more bedroom home.  The filters are cost effective and easy to replace.  This is the easiest and most effective way to get the air in your home completely free of allergens and toxins.
